We are Garrett and Kira Lathrop of Plain Jane’s. We birthed Plain Jane’s as a reflection of our love for the Alaskan wilderness. While we both work in other industries, our time harvesting in the woods is our true passion. We hope with every bite you are transported to the forest. We take great care to craft items with minimal ingredients to emphasize the natural beauty and savory flavors of what we forage in the woods. At Plain Jane’s we celebrate the idea that less can be more, offering products that are straight forward yet deeply connected to nature’s offerings.
In 2019 we moved to Alaska and brought with us a lifelong love of the outdoors. Little did we know how deeply we would fall in love with the hunt for mushrooms, berries and other foragables. Foraging is much more than a hobby or another day in the office, it can feel like a sacred experience where we find solace. When we make it back to the kitchen we go on a creative journey together to experiment, blend and refine products.

Where can you find Plain Jane's products?
Plain Jane products can be found in Skagway at Cafe on 5th, Klondike Electric Bicycles, and Skagway Spirits Distillery. Kira also participates in the Garden Cit Markets that happen roughly once a month in Skagway.
